Incoherent reaction post

WHAT. What was that. I mean, yes, awesome awesome episode, with all of the characterization and plot and gay agenda stuff that I think of when I think of Moffat. But that last bit. All of the scariest fan speculation is true.

Also, all of the Amy/River fic I ever liked is weird and squicky as hell now. I will need some time to mourn that lost ship. (River/Doctor is only very barely okay, but I am going with it because I have written it before. If I can deal with Doctor/Amy I can deal with Doctor/River.)

I was mentally prepared to accept River as being anything BUT Amy's child. ANYTHING ELSE, and I would've been okay with it. And the weird thing is, that I don't think Moffat was intending to happen--okay, I'll admit, I did actually ship Doctor/River before, but now that she's Amy's child, I just can't fathom shipping them at all anymore. HE MADE IT SQUICKIER THIS WAY FOR ME.

I don't know, Moffat seems to be intending lots of things. A lot of people were saying that they thought the Doctor was getting darker without the narrative noticing, and then bam, the narrative was all up in that. Maaaaaybe Moffat is all over this kind of creepy best friends' daughter thing. I just don't trust him to be oblivious anymore.

Either way, I totally understand your squick. I've only recently been able to ship Doctor/companion at all, and Doctor/companion's kid is pushing it a bit far for me.
