I was mentally prepared to accept River as being anything BUT Amy's child. ANYTHING ELSE, and I would've been okay with it. And the weird thing is, that I don't think Moffat was intending to happen--okay, I'll admit, I did actually ship Doctor/River before, but now that she's Amy's child, I just can't fathom shipping them at all anymore. HE MADE IT SQUICKIER THIS WAY FOR ME. *weeping in a corner* Anything else!
