I have a finished draft of my remix fic and two weeks left to the deadline! Lots to do, still, but I am proud of myself for a) remembering how to remix, that's always hard, and b) getting an idea really quickly that only took me two days to write. Since my last remix fic ran over 12k and the last fic I wrote ran over 30k, I am definitely counting a little fic with one contained idea as a victory.
Speaking of fanfic, the Marvel comics thing I mentioned before is SUPER LONG and finished and with a beta, so hopefully something will come of it? Every once in a while (especially while in grad school and trying to figure out my life), I think that maybe I am done with fic and that this interesting period of my life is winding down. And then I get blindsided by an idea and write 17,000 words in a week. Hahaha I am so behind with my rl work.
I want to write Bucky fic next. I have so many thoughts about Cap2 and Agents of SHIELD and either it is going to spill over into fic or poorly thought-out meta, and I think we all know which would be preferable.

Date: 2014-04-23 04:08 am (UTC)I find that most of the time when I feel blocked on fic, I'm actually just blocked on fandom. As soon as I get really obsessive/excited about a canon again, I immediately want to write about it.
