I'm actively really upset about what happened to Shin A-Lam during the Women's Epee Semi-Finals. I'm two days behind on watching fencing events, but I skipped ahead for her when I heard about the controversy (short version: she lost a critical bout because of a time-keeping error). It's tripping every 'bad director, bad call' instinct I've developed over four years of disagreeing with the ref, and aagh. I feel so bad for her.

I'm incoherent, but this is a good tumblr post. After being really mad at the Christian Science Monitor and a couple other news outlets, it was a good surprise to see that the Shin A-Lam tag on tumblr was full of support for her.
