Fic commentary thing

So, writing author's commentary on fics is something people do which I always like, and I've been told a couple times that it is a thing I should do. Also, I am stuck on all of my current projects and I have a school break coming up. So is this a thing people are interested in? Any requests? If not, I will probably just write about Acheron :|

(But seriously, requests/suggestions would be really appreciated. I'm not sure what you would get back in terms of commentary, but we could find out together! My fic list is here, although I notice it's missing about two or three recent fics, so.)

i would definitely read a commentary about acheron. alternately, your gallifrey kidfic, or on her lady presidents etc, or the honeymooners in approximately that order. well, also, anything you feel like writing about to be honest :)

Hm. I do have lots of thoughts about both of those Gallifrey fics! And I was about to say that Honeymooners was written in a fugue state and I had no thoughts, except I actually pulled up the first draft file, and it's full of ridiculous notes. So I will think about this and get back to you.

Haha, commentary on that Tintin fic would be weird, since it was one of my late-night, ill-advised Yuletide Madness fics. I'll take a look at it!

Would be delighted to see your thinky thoughts on any of these, but particularly The Genuine Moral Incentive, Cataracts and Cascades, and that cracktastic Ten/Simm/Six thing.

I love fic commentary I've been really tempted to offer to do some myself, except:

a.) I should probably write the dozen-odd fics kicking around in my head first, so as to have more stuff to talk about;
b.) am fairly dubious that people are interested; and most importantly,
c.) then I'd have to actually re-read my own stuff. (Cue wailing and gnashing of teeth.)

Aha, I might do The Genuine Moral Incentive - that was an interesting writing and editing process, so. I'm sure I have something to say about the other two, but it would be much more about the characters, I think. Hm.

I think it does help to have a fair amount of fics before doing commentary, but I love reading meta and people talking about the writing process. I would definitely be interested in your commentary! I understand not wanting to look back though - there are a few of my fics that I am kind of side-eyeing now, though thankfully none that anyone has asked about.
