2020 Yuletide letter!

neveralarchHello author! I hope you're as excited about Yuletide as I am.
Let me make this easy-ish: I'm probably going to be happy with whatever you're thinking of writing. In general terms, I really like happy fics, funny fics, and I always have a serious craving for fics where someone has screwed up or is just stressed out and someone else helps them out. I will read most things and love them, including dark fic, plotty fic, ship fic, and so on and so on. I will love your gen fic, and I will also love your smut - I do have some notes about pairings in my requests, but please don't take them as demands, just suggestions.
Some specific things I hope you'll avoid: I generally have to be careful reading things with horror (especially body horror), acute embarrassment, death as a major plot point (or philosophical discussion), incest, underage character/of age character, and rape/non-con. If it's something incidental, I can probably deal, but a fic focusing on any of these things would be really difficult for me to read. Also, zombies. I almost can't do zombies at all - I've had to stop reading/watching many things because there were zombies. (It's mostly the cannibalism that gets me.) I don't think any of this will be a major problem in the fandoms I'm requesting, but I figured it was better to be safe than sorry.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn) (2020)

I included four characters here, but tbh I'd be interested in any combination of these characters that focuses on a) FUN and b) rad women doing rad things. Some specific suggestions: Harley and Cass have an adventure while Harley makes some small attempt at appearing to be a reasonable adult; Harley and Cass try to teach Helena how to socialize like a human instead of a vengeance machine; Helena (certified baby gay) tries VERY hard to hit on Renee, who takes a while to catch on because Helena is saying things like 'so, have you ever shot anyone?'
Up for any pairings or moresomes between the adults, please no underage.
The Half of It

I really liked this movie, but I was a little disappointed by the ending. I really strongly felt that this wasn't a grand romance so much as the thing both of them would look back on sort of wistfully and tell their future girlfriends about - this first moment when each of them felt seen and desired by another woman. So... idk what you want to do with that, haha. It would be so great to see them have a sort of retrospective on this event in their lives - both of them thinking about and explaining this story in their own way, maybe multiple times over their lives? But I'll love anything you do with this canon.

I just reread Narbonic since the big print collection came out, and it reminded me how much I love villains who love villains. I'm specifically asking for the Astonishing Excursions Victorian Helen, Dave, and Dr. Pim here - I love that short comic, and I love the ending, but I also really really want to know what happens next. Does Victorian Dave ever go mad? Does Dr. Pim build himself some robotic tentacles so he feels more comfortable in Mel's body? Does Helen clone herself, or does she make use of the two spare people in this relationship? Do Dave and Dr. Pim kiss? Is it as weird as it seems like it would be??
Note: If you can avoid fetishizing Mel's body through Dave or Helen's eyes, that would be great - it feels weird since she's not actually in it anymore. Any commentary from Dr. Pim on his new weird human body would be A++ though.

I just!!! Love Dinobot and Rattrap!! My friends and I have been watching Beast Wars and also I have fallen DEEP into transformers nonsense for a couple years and I would so love a fic about Dinobot and Rattrap being mean to each other and also kissing a bit. They're just project 'I have a crush and I'm mad about because it's gross' energy. If you're not into the ship, I'd also love to read some platonic rivals fic - really anything about them being jerks will be A+++ in my book.
