Fanart: Variations on Forever

I posted this to best_enemies here, but because I like showing the progression of my sketches, here are a bunch of additional things.
This is fanart for
janeturenne 's fic, Variations on Forever! Go check it out, if you haven't already.

I don't know what happened to the original sketch - it's probably somewhere in my Social Cognition notes. But this is the most complete sketch, found in amongst a bunch of portraits of my fellow research group members. I may or may not get a little distracted during class.

This is the pencil sketch! Flames to be added.

This was going to be the last part, since I hate inking, and this took forever. Except someone pointed out that it looks like the people are emerging from a furry hollow log. Cannot unsee, so I had to do some spot coloring.
On the plus side, I took the opportunity while inking to add some detail to the blueprints. The actual math that is on there is the formula for Crystallized Opinion and a simplified version of the Multinomial Memory Model. Oh, and there are some Brazilian counting boxes, someone was showing me how to do those.

Color! I love it, but I know I am bad at it. So this also took a long time. But now it is finished, and I hope it is okay!
