Oh, it's another Yuletide letter

This is the first time I've done Yuletide, so I'm sorry if I leave off any information that you feel is important. I don't really know what I'm doing.
Repeating stuff in my sign-up:
Thick of It (UK): Man, I will take anything. I liked all three series and the movie, I like all of the characters. I will say that the little fic for this fandom is primarily Malcolm/Jamie, and I'd prefer it if you did something different. Malcolm and the PM go to Egypt (A disaster)! Hugh and Glenn in younger days! The Opposition's awkward party after the election! Seriously, go for it. I would rather have something gen or pg-13, but that's just a vague preference. And I am obsessive over British politics, so the more maneuvering, the better.
Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town - Cory Doctorow: Okay, this one I really, really need something about Alan and Kurt. After the book, AU, during the book, whatever. I was a little unhappy with how much Doctorow built up their relationship before just having Alan cut it off, is all. It doesn't have to be slash - a friendship fic would also be good.
18th-19th Century CE Political RPF, Edmund Burke, Karl Marx: Either Burke or Marx is cool - both together would be odd, but probably amazing. I like both of these guys, so I'd discourage bashing. But other than that, it's all up to you. I'm not generally a fan of explicit-sex RPF, but, you know. What you like.
Arts & Sciences RPF, Soren Kierkegaard: Kierkegaard broke up his engagement with his love of many years after deciding he was not suited for marriage. He remained alone for the rest of his life. I have been wanting asexual!Kierkegaard fic for a long time, and I'm taking this opportunity to try again. But! I understand this is not for everyone, so any fic about Kierkegaard will make me happy. Or whatever. I will be happy with your fic about (for example) Alan Turing too, if that's what you want to write.
I hope I gave you enough in my specific fandom requests, so this is just some general stuff about what I like in writing, in case you're interested. If you looked around my journal, you can see that my writing is primarily slash - this is not all I read! I will love your gen, your femslash, and your het. I read pretty much everything. I do have issues with reading noncon and fics that contain abuse, acute embarrassment, or serious dom/sub play, but I don't have any actual triggers. Those are just things that make me uncomfortable, and I've read fics that I loved regardless of whether they contained those things. In general, I like fics that aren't super angsty (they can be sad, just not falling into a black hole of despair), and I like humor, but not OOC crack, and I'm usually not a huge fan of crossovers. It's a sliding scale without a lot of definition, sorry!
On the RPF fandoms, I will be so excited if I get anything for these. I read a lot of history, and I know the backgrounds of all the people I requested, but that doesn't mean you have to make this into a research project. It just means I will be psyched about whatever details you provide. Also, I did that request about asexual!Kierkegaard. Asexuality is something I have a lot of investment in, and am generally knowledgeable about, but I realize that's true of very very few people. If you're one of those people, hooray! But if not, and you're still interested in filling that request, some good places to check out are AVEN and the asexual_fandom comm on dreamwidth.
