Once again: 11 fics, this time in 11 fandoms. My main fic:
Every Sundown (10515 words) for Trismegistus
Fandom: Imperial Radch - Ann Leckie
Rating: Teen
Relationships: Seivarden/Breq
Summary:
Breq is a traitor, a rebel, and a captain a thousand years out of date. Mercy of Seivarden is drifting without a crew.
I'm always a little scared of writing Radch fic, but I love love love Breq and Seivarden's relationship! I got the idea right away to write a roleswap where Breq was the captain and Seivarden was the ship. I got really into it and ended up writing... too much. As usual it turned into a last minute panic to edit it, so thanks immensely to tweedymcgee for the beta help!
No Colors Anymore (465 words) for greenet
Fandom: Vantablack Pigment Feud
Rating: General Audiences
Characters: Stuart Semple
Summary:
Anish Kapoor kicked it up a notch. Stuart's ready to match him.
This is a fic about probably the only art thing I've ever cared about.
Root Beer Float (511 words) for chase_acow
Fandom: The Happytime Murders (2018)
Rating: General Audiences
Relationships: Connie & Phil
Summary:
Phil and Connie have a celebratory drink after cracking their first new case. It ends pretty much exactly like you'd expect.
Mmm you probably didn't want more of this movie's humor, but here it is anyway!
Calluses (363 words) for bygoshbygolly
Fandom: Megalo Box
Rating: General Audiences
Relationships: Aragaki/Nabu
Summary:
Aragaki's hands are the same.
I consumed new media this year! Megalo Box was very good, highly recommend, and I loved Aragaki so much. Revenge based on affection is good, though this fic mostly focuses on the affection.
Sharp Dressed Man (533 words) for Gramarye
Fandom: The Way of the House Husband
Rating: General Audiences
Relationships: Miku/Tatsu
Summary:
Tatsu is a very supportive husband.
You can find this manga easily online and it's sooo good. More soft domestic former gangmembers in slice of life comedies.
Overrun the Banks (442 words) for Jenett
Fandom: Rivers of London - Ben Aaronovitch
Rating: General Audiences
Relationships: Cecelia Tyburn Thames & Abigail Kamara
Summary:
Lady Ty has some advice.
The annual 'here's a cool place in London' fic.
Rum Butter (496 words) for bravofiftyone
Fandom: Inspector Rebus - Ian Rankin
Rating: General Audiences
Relationships: Siobhan Clarke & John Rebus
Summary:
John makes pudding.
I've now written 40% of the Rebus fic on AO3. Also - part of my annual 'people eating food that I'd like to eat' fic, this time brought to you by three seasons of GBBO in quick succession.
Relax (491 words) for Teyla
Fandom: Dirk Gently (2016)
Rating: General Audiences
Characters: Dirk Gently, Osmund Priest
Summary:
Dirk gets to ride along on a Blackhawk mission. He's twelve.
For my favorite but weirdest adaptation of these books.
Nat Geo (1102 words) for specialrhino
Fandom: The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl
Rating: General Audiences
Relationships: Squirrel Girl/Kraven
Summary:
Kraven needs a plus one to the National Geographic Anniversary Gala. Doreen was born for this.
I don't quiiiite ship this, but I love the comics and also this (adult) Kraven/Doreen fic. It was super fun to take my own swing at it.
The Real Thing (1380 words) for Merfilly
Fandom: Transformers - Shattered Glass
Rating: General Audiences
Relationships: Megatron/Starscream
Summary:
"Sir." Skywarp looked desperate.
"I know." Megatron began filling his second ration cube. "I'm on my way."
I somehow managed to write my current OTP for Yuletide. I also read some of the Shattered Glass canon for this, which is trippy, fun, and also a good source for exactly the kind of exhausted h/c I like best.
Golden Egg (851 words) for Persiflager
Fandom: Nero Wolfe - Rex Stout
Rating: General Audiences
Characters: Archie Goodwin, Inspector Cramer
Summary:
Archie and Cramer are on a stakeout on Christmas Eve. Good times are had by some.
I want to eat the sandwich featured in this. I've never identified with Cramer more.
Hope everyone had a good Yuletide!! And if you have recs they'd be super welcome, as usual I've been too busy to really dig through the archive.
