Yeah, I think it'd be an interesting conversation to have. I mean, your explanation of your own parsing is pretty fascinating, so it'd be cool to see how other people feel. Though I'm not engaged in the ace community at all, so I'd probably just end up watching from the sidelines.
I identify as aromantic as well as asexual, so I think that's why my experience is a bit different. "Who do I like watching and looking at the most" makes sense to me, and I get that from people sometimes. But it doesn't seem like attraction for me, because I have to work to realize it and because I'm not interested in finding any kind of partner. I do kind of wish I could work out the difference between recognizing attractiveness and being attracted - telepathy would be pretty useful, haha!
