The humming is still Starman - it was a hit during the early seventies. But the Master could definitely hum annoying static. Also, I apologize for sullying hats! I wear them too, and there are milliners in my family and, actually, this is going to be a bit awkward when I'm back home, surrounded by hats. Hm.
