I feel like I should prioritize watching Amadeus above watching By the Sword, but I'm probably not going to. I just watched Withnail and I for purely DW-related reasons, but at least that was pretty good. (I love Muppets in Space, though. My brother and I watched the VHS we have of it about fifty times, and I'm sure my parents hate it now.)
Oh man, is there going to be fencing in the next chapter? Or even just vague mentions of the fact that fencing is a thing? So excited. Also for the rest of the fic, obviously. But you're right, if there was Doctor/Romana fencing or Rose/Mickey fencing, I would be way more interested in those pairings. (Amy with a sword was so awesome, and I am apparently incredibly easy for these things.)
I feel that later readers may go through the comments looking for interesting conversations and learn about By the Sword and F Murray Abraham. I have gained a lot of knowledge in the past by reading comment conversations and generally being a bit of a creeper.
