3,500 is fine - and will be a useful way of not writing either of mine (yes, i haven't finished the first one, but the pinchhit was so up my street). i'm planning on doing what i have done previously and hit the word count, post for the deadline, and then tweak/write over the period that the archives are resting pre-opening, but should i manage to finish either pre-that, it'd be nice to have you look it over, if you're willing :)
also, since it's eric roberts's birthday perhaps a watch along could be arranged very very soon... erin asks when you are free, since it is clearly v important that you attend :p
