not really sure what was going on with my puncutation in that last comment. i was too overwhelmed by joy to punctuate in a respectable fashion - ah well. i really am overwhelmed by joy, you know. the way eight is about new shoes. i love it like a very lovely thing that is also very funn yand features all the bestest gallifrey characters including ARKADIAN. i love this universe where nobody's a zombie and arkadian steals a baby just because he happens to be there. i love his waving the jewel around in front of the baby and not having a good escape plan, and i love the scene where elbon says 'i don't think narvin did send you - oh very well, money, thank you' and the little nod to darkel.
all the stuff about brax and the doctor being brothers makes my heart almost explode with GLEE - it's so perfectly done. and i love romana in that scene, steadfastly ignoring anything that might be going on - and for some reason i love that she calls 'fira' 'baby' - it's really impersonal, but also really sweet, and silly, and makes me like her a lot. and obviously i love the leela bit, and the k-9 bit - and the bit where the doctor sweeps in and is like 'what are you doing???' - and the bit where he says Despite what you might recall, I am not infallible."
sorry - this is just sort of turning into a list of things that happened in this fic, which you know about, because you wrote it - but i am just trying to get across my great love for all of it. i also ADORE the final section, which is so right and lovely and brillaint. i love that fira grew up to be important and clever - but who still falls over. ha. and i love the tone this is written in, exemplified by that final section. it's absolutely perfect, and i am so happy and thankful. it's exactly what i did know i wanted :D
