Finished! I have mad love for this. The Master in exile is good in and of itself, but you picked such an unexpected period! And his schemes are all very low-tech, very classically villainous, like something that could happen in a story from that time. You really get the sense that he has adapted a great deal to his exile.
For some reason I particularly love the fish sellers' scene, and of course Jamie's adorable eagerness about being from the future.
