here's a bunch of stuff

A proper post! A lot of stuff has been going on with me! It's making with a little jittery and prone to exclamation points! Here we go!

At the beginning of August I had some problems with my computer, and since it was under warranty I sent it in to be serviced. This took them a month - I just got it back on Thursday (hence my excitement). They fixed the problem (good), they fixed several other problems I didn't tell them about (also good), but they broke the touchpad (bad). So the laptop is being mailed back to the service center in Texas tomorrow and I guess I'll continue to be scarce around here a while. The guy on the phone said 7 business day turnaround FOR SURE this time (probably), so, idk, I'm not holding my breath but I need my laptop for school so I am crossing my fingers.

In amongst my computer woes, the air conditioner in my car broke (quick but expensive fix), and my cat got diagnosed with diabetes (slow and expensive hopeful fix). And I moved. And school started again. And I crashed my bike (in a very minor way). And I got hired as a high school fencing coach for this winter (November-February). It's been up and down but mostly down, haha. I'm hoping that things start picking up or at least stop happening so much.

This was going to be longer but I honestly don't have the energy to go on at length about any of these things. Tell me what's going on with you! I've been reading my f-list on my phone a little, but I haven't been keeping up as well the last week. I hope things have been a little calmer with you guys.

wait I forgot some things

These are happier things! Fandom-y things. Also slightly self-aggrandizing things, but whatever, I am fine with that.

One, I just discovered that I was recced on TVTropes. This makes me feel pretty good, not because I'm on the site, but because the troper picked my ridic Skyfall Elizabethan AU and it reminded me that I wrote a ridic Skyfall Elizabethan AU. Good times. Was that seriously only six months ago?

Two, that Hawkeye comic that astridv drew based on my story got recced on the Forbidden Planet International blog. I can claim little/no credit for the comic, but dude. Dude.

Three, I've signed up for the Doctor Who remix, and you should too! I miss the bigger remix challenge, but I wrote DW every year that I participated, so this won't be that different.

I think that's it? I don't want to spam three posts at you, haha. I'll call this it. (Especially since it took me forty minutes to post this, jeez. My internet is super spotty at the moment.)
