I am totally capable of posting in a timely manner. I just... I just get distracted. Yes. Anyway, here are the rest of the Doctor Who comic icons, only a little over a month after I posted the first batch. Also, some bonus panels that I think are hilarious/awesome but that I can't figure out how to iconize. If anyone wants to do something with them, feel free. 27 icons, featuring Leela, the TARDIS, Three, Five, Daleks, Sarah Jane, Six, Seven, the Celestial Toymaker, and Two.

These were made from scans that I made of Marvel's Doctor Who comic, issues 1-4, 16, and 20-22, and The Incomplete Death's Head, issue 1. All credit to the artists (whose names I unfortunately can't look up right now, and weren't always accessible in the first place). Please credit both me and the comic if you take an icon, but other than that, go for it. Textless icons can definitely be used as bases, etc. Also, I've never really made icons before, so any comments/critiques are more than welcome.

Whaaat... oh god, I love comics. The sheer absurdity of some of these panels!

Also, Delgado!Master in TL gear :D And I love how the caption on that one sort of blames the Doctor for Crispy's lack of regenerations.

Comics! They're what make Leela and K-9 bodyswap almost sort of canon.

I really wanted to iconize Time Lord!Delgado, but I decided I wasn't willing to do all the work to get that Sontaran and crispy!Master out of the way. I love all of the art, but I wish whoever had done it had kept the sketches more discrete...

Any idea who drew the first non-iconed panel? I'm thinking the style looks familiar, but I can't place the artist.

Agh, um, hm. I don't have the comics in this country, but I'm guessing at Dave Gibbons. It almost certainly is, anyway. Dave Gibbons did Watchmen, if that helps? Also lots and lots of other things, but that's probably his most famous art.

funny - when i saw 'vworp?' i instantly thought of the 'tides of time', which is the doctor who magazine black and white comic strip graphic novel thing - which i generally think is terrible (because it was so sad, mostly), but i was v amused by the tardis doing that. and then i scrolled down, and it was that comic, but coloured and by marvel and now i am confused. did they colour them for marvel? what is going on??

also, i like the icons. the leela ones particularly.

Yes, this is exactly what happened. The Marvel comics were mostly colored (and slightly edited, I think) reprints from DWM. I imagine the colorist were really excited when they moved on from Four to Five. I keep looking at that scarf and imagining having to recolor it in every panel, agh. Anyway, there's also a lot of Marvel-specific material - covers, and stuff from the letters column and so on. But the comics are all originally from DWM. Sorry that you were confused!
