my important thoughts
Ever since I started hanging out on tumblr, I've been thinking about pairing smush names. They're really big on tumblr (I think partly because slashes don't always format properly in tags), but they just seem weird to me. I've concluded that this is because my first big and enduring fandom was Doctor Who, and there are... practically no good pairing smush possibilities. Like, Clark/Lex, Clex, I can see that. But Doctor/Master is stuck. Mastor? Daster? Docster? I actually like Docster, but more as something Eleven tries to get people to call him for a couple minutes before he realizes it sounds terrible.
(Different names for pairings I have considered and found wanting: Mastorani, Brarvin, Koschta, Theschei, Leemana, Roctor, Drose, Nygan, Yaton, and Fivelough. The only ones that work off the top of my head are Perimem and K-9². I kind of want to write K-9 mark I/K-9 mark II just so I can use that pairing name.)
