Pesky rules (although that does make sense). There's this kind of ultimate mixed competition in Germany, though, where in each bout one of the fencers gets to choose the weapon. One of the guys I know keeps talking about the bout where the woman he was fencing chose wheelchair foil. I'm super jealous, let me tell you, I would have been thrilled for the opportunity.
