I don't know if a lot of people dislike C'rizz in fandom or anything, but the few people that I talk to about BFAs aren't big fans of his - possibly I've been in my own bubble! I have heard some interviews with the Big Finish staff where they basically talk about never having gotten his character to work out the way they wanted it to and being glad to move away from his arc, etc. I think there was something to that effect in the interviews with Conrad Westmaas that they packaged with Gallifrey series 4.
